June 6-8 (Friday-Sunday)
REGISTRATION START LIST RESULTS
This is the first year using the MileSplit for registration for Special Olympics Indiana events. The goal is to eventually have a single system to register athletes and view all of the results, so all parties will experience a more smooth process leading into your State Meet in June.
Katie Hilt will be leading the effort on this transition and Micah Mobley (AB Timing) will be your main point of contact for help with registrations for Spring Games. You will be entering your athletes in GMS like you have always done, and Katie will lead the charge in getting them transitioned over to the MileSplit system for this first year.*
*We could use some "early testers"...If you are one of the types of coaches who actually want to have the control of your own teams and rosters, and would be willing and interested in getting your own rosters set up with the MileSplit system, please fill out this form. We will be in touch when the time comes, to help get you started (and lighten Katie's load).
TEAM AND ROSTER HELP: (Team Claim options available around April 1st)
Teams should be set up around April 1st, at which point you would be able to create your MileSplit account and "claim" your team. THIS STEP IS COMPLETED BUT THERE IS A HANGUP GETTING THEM TO POPULATE FOR ADDITION TO MEETS. WE ARE WORKING ON THIS NOW
This document linked above is a good starting point for your process to get registered in MileSplit.
If you start there but need more support, reach out to Micah directly at abtiming@gmail or text/call 812-340-2222. (It is a busy time of year, but I will do my best to get back to you promptly)
HERE IS A TEST MEET (Option available around April 1st) WE ARE HOLDING OFF ON THIS UNTIL WE GET THE TEAMS ADDED
This is where you could go to register your athletes for this particular test meet.
**This option should be available sometime around April 1st, which would allow you time to practice accessing your team and entering them into events.
This would be done after you have gotten your team claim request approved and are ready to input rosters for a particular meet.
All meet entries for the series will run through MileSplit. You will need to complete the following steps. (Steps 1-3 will only be done the first time you set up your roster. Steps 4-5 will be done for each meet)
STEPS TO BE DONE FOR THE FIRST TIME USING THE SYSTEM
Create an account on the MileSplit platform.
Search for and "claim" your team (may take 24 hours for a claim approval to be processed)
Enter your full roster. All athletes on your team should be entered to the system, not just the ones for the first meet. Make sure to check the box for "Outdoor" season
STEPS FOR EACH MEET
Accept the invitation to the meet in your MileSplit account, or search for the meet you should be in and get added.
Assign the athletes from your roster to the events in which they will be competing. Please make sure to enter seed marks for them. If a seed mark is not entered then they will be randomly placed at the lowest heat/flight.
JUST TO CLARIFY...
Once you have set up your account and entered your roster, you will not need to do that again.
For future meets we time you will simply accept the invitation and get your athletes entered to the events you want them in.
More details on this process, including links to MileSplit support pages with screenshots and detailed explanations can be found at our Event Entry Help page.
